Easy homemade christmas gifts you can make in 15 minutes

1 November 2019 year

We know it's too early to think about Christmas, but we like to give home gifts, and they require a little planning in advance. Fortunately, these DIY gifts are easy to make and won't take much of your time, as well as friends, family, grandparents, and teachers are sure they love them. Now, some of these ideas may take more than 15 minutes to make just one, but if you do them in batches, you'll end up with an average of about 15 minutes per gift.

5 EASY HOMEMADE CHRISTMAS GIFTS YOU CAN MAKE IN 15 MINUTES

1. Homemade sugar scrub

Ingredients and Supplies:

  • Melt & Pour soap base
  • Cranberry body-safe-fragrance, or fragrance of choice
  • Jojoba oil
  • Sugar
  • Knife
  • Spoon
  • Microwave safe bowl for melting soap
  • Measuring cup
  • Mixing bowl
  • Food coloring
  • 1 glass baking dish (seen in pictures)

Start by chopping up the soap base, this makes it much easier to measure. Place it in a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave until the ingredients easily mix together, stirring every ten seconds. Then, pour a thin layer of sugar on the bottom of your glass baking dish. In a mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup of melted soap base, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of jojoba oil.

Cut the hardened sugar scrub mixture into small squares and gently lift them up from the dish. I had some leftover scraps as seen in the photo above:) You’ll notice that the layer of sugar you put into the glass dish beforehand is perfectly stuck to one side of each sugar cube.

  • Melt caramels by microwaving for 30 second intervals until they are soft enough to stir.
  • Pour melted caramels into apple mixture and stir or blend to combine.
  • Replace slow cooker lid, but pit it on crooked so air can vent.

5. Glass Tile Pendants

                                                                           You’ll need

  • a glass tile,
  • a bail (that’s the hook that goes on the back),
  • paper or fabric design,
  • diamond glaze and a small paintbrush,
  • superglue,
  • and a chain to hang it on.

                                                                              Instructions

  1. First take your tile, and trace it onto your paper.  Then cut it out slightly inside the lines.
  2. Next squirt your diamond glaze on the back of the tile – about pea size.  Use a small paintbrush to spread it out – enough to coat the back of the tile but not so much that it’s going to ooze.
  3. Then while the diamond glaze is still wet set your paper face-down onto it.  Rub the paper to get a really good seal.  That will prevent bubbles being seen through the glass.
  4. Let dry for 5-10 mintues or longer.  Then squirt diamond glaze on the back of the paper and spread it out with a paintbrush to seal in your paper.  Let dry several hours.  Then using superglue, glue your bails to the back.
